in the end it's ours to take in the end it's ours to take in the end it's ours you could close your eyes and wait you could close your eyes and wait you could close your eyes hey even though it's miles away even though it's miles away in the end it's ours in the end it's ours and you and me and all the strays you and me and all the strays we could go downtown and we could tear it out and play loud.

Birds 05:20
wake up, darling, wake up they're some birds out on the wire and dreams i couldn't make up have got my mind a burning fire one where everyone was crowded all together and they were coming at your door and singing through the open windows there were voices like i'd never heard before did you take it? did you ever shake it from the corner of your eye? when the plane hit did it feel the same way? did it make it seem alright? and one day you finally cover all the traces and you're making through the park and you're calling all the colors and the faces and all the shadows in the dark did you take it? did you ever shake it from the corner of your eye? when the plane hit did it feel the same way? did it make it seem alright?

Santa Monica 06:58
in the morning when you wake up and you're sticking to the earth it ain't such a revelation if you don't know what it's worth i made it there before the sunset and it was coming off my tongue he was helping me to stand up just like he did when he was young it was a dance she learned in high school just a spin and then a turn and i could try to hold her closer it was easy once you learned they were singing about the ocean they sang the same song every night and it never felt so holy as when it was moving out of sight i was looking at the breakers they were pounding on the sand whether they're coming or they're going it's just a waving of the hand what you find you might not care for what you do you might not find but it won't matter too much longer you're gonna leave it all behind there's a spare key in the hallway there's a free way out of town pull your love a little closer kill the lights and settle down.

if i was a tiny creature if i was a tiny creature laying low and living on the land i wouldn't need no schooling teacher no president, no dollar preacher always trying to tell me where i stand and we could take it so slow me without nowhere to go and you could hold me right there in your hand or if i was the sweetest apple if i was the sweetest apple russet-red and hanging on a tree you wouldn't need no whisky bottle you wouldn't need no spark and throttle you wouldn't need no sugar in your tea we could have it so fine sitting in the sunshine until you come and take a bite of me or if i was a great big whale if i was a great big whale big and blue and swimming in the sea you wouldn't need no letters home no satellite, no telephone helping carry message from me you'd always be sure to know no matter how far off you go you could hear me singing songs about my love or if i was a tiny creature.
